RBC Investor & Treasury Services has poached a managing director of strategy and customer programmes at BMO Capital Markets to expand its network management team.

Annette Niebuhr has been appointed managing director of network management within the product management business, to oversee its Canadian-based client’s global network management requirements.

She will also use RBC Investor & Treasury Services’ existing relationships with agent banks to develop partnerships focused on client engagement and market-facing activities.

Niebuhr has more than 25 years experience and was most recently a managing director at BMO Capital Markets where she developed new cross-sales strategy for the global corporate banking business.

Paul Stillabower, global head of product management at RBC Investor & Treasury Services, commented: “[Niebuhr’s] deep market knowledge and insights, coupled with her strong strategic planning background in investor services adds a great deal of strength to our global team.”

RBC Investor & Treasury Services’ has made efforts to boost its client facing team globally, after making a number of key appointments in Asia-Pacific and Europe, most of which came from JP Morgan.

Earlier this month, RBC Investor & Treasury Services hired a former England rugby captain as head of global client coverage in the UK from JP Morgan. Pat Sanderson joined RBC after previously leading investor services sales and strategy for the US investment bank’s insurance clients.

Industry veterans David Brown and Hong Paterson, both from JP Morgan, also joined RBC earlier this year to lead global client coverage in Australia and Singapore.
