Deutsche Bank has appointed Vikas Arora as the Bankgkok-based head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and Trade Finance and Cash Management (TFCMC) in Thailand.

Arora has been with Deutsche since 1996, holding positions in sales, product management, customer service and operations. Prior to this appointment he was head of Payments and Clearing Services for Deutsche in India.

In his role as head of global transaction banking, Arora will report to Lisa Robins, head of GTB Asia Pacific, and in his role as head of trade finance and cash management, he will report to Kaushik Shaparia, Asia Pacific head of TFCMC. He will also report locally to Frank Krings, Deutsche Banks general manager and chief country officer for Thailand.

Thailand is a fast growing market for Deutsche Bank across our markets, advisory and transaction banking activities. With his international experience, Vikas appointment will greatly assist us in consolidating our position as a leading corporate and investment bank locally, Krings says.

Vikas depth of knowledge and experience across the different functions of our business makes him ideally placed at the helm of Global Transaction Banking in Thailand, a very important market for Deutsche Banks GTB franchise, says Robins. Under his leadership, we are confident that our GTB business in Thailand will continue to grow and make a significant contribution to meeting our clients needs and to further strengthening our broader regional platform.
