Global Custodian will host two dynamic GC Sessions in New York City on November 30, focusing on critical issues facing the prime brokerage and hedge fund administration industry.

Taking place at Pier 61, Global Custodian will hold two panels to discuss and debate the latest challenges facing hedge fund service providers and private bankers. Registration will begin at 4:00pm.

The first panel will look at the future of the hedge fund service provider operating model.
Hedge funds are demanding more than ever before from their providers when it comes to technology, reporting capabilities and data, driven in some measure by regulatory compliance requirements.

This panel will look at how administrators are dealing with client expectations and how they are adapting their models accordingly.

The second panel will look into the mid-tier prime brokerage market, and whether they are now in a position to capitalise on new business. Tier two or ‘mid-tier’ prime brokers were primed to win a significant number of mandates from hedge funds which had either been exited by bulge bracket primes or who were struggling to be on-boarded by traditional players.

The panel will debate whether those mid-tier brokers did capitalise on this as much as they were predicted to, and what other areas they might be able to win clients from the bulge bracket primes.

Registration for the Sessions will begin at 4:00pm, with the first panel taking place at 4:30pm.
