Global Custodian’s fund services awards to return to New York on 18 November

Global Custodian’s Industry Leaders Awards will return on 18 November at Chelsea Piers in New York to honour the top performers across our fund services and prime brokerage surveys. 

After a year hiatus, the in-person ceremony and networking event is back, though Global Custodian will also continue to produce a documentary around fund services, following the success of its project in 2020. 

Topping the list of nominations across the board are SS&C and Ultimus Fund Solutions with a standout eight nominations each, while the prime brokerage categories see multiple nods to Morgan Stanley, Pershing, and TD Securities. 

Elsewhere there are multiple nominations for the likes of Apex, BNP Paribas, Citco, Intertrust Group and PEF Services, to name a few.  

In the exchange-traded fund administration categories, BBH, BNY Mellon/ CIBC Mellon and RBC I&TS dominate the shortlist, while there are also nominations for JP Morgan, Citi and State Street. 
 
Along with those awards recognising achievements in Global Custodian’s annual surveys, we’ve added a number of new accolades this year in the Editors’ Choice categories including Best New Fund Services Project, Fund Services Partnership of the Year and Fund Services One to Watch. 

In Best New Fund Services Project, Apex, Citco, MUFG Investor Services and SS&C each earn recognition, while the Fund Services Partnership of the Year sees custody giants BNY Mellon, Northern Trust and State Street go up against independent administrator IQ-EQ. 

The return of the Fund Services One to Watch sees a group of rising administrators compete for the honour which has highlighted the likes of Intertrust Group, TMF, Vistra, Sanne, Mainstream and IQ-EQ. This year, the shortlist consists of 4Pines Fund Services, Crestbridge, Ocorian and Sudrania Fund Services. 
 
We will also present our coveted Industry Legend awards – one on the prime brokerage side of fund servicing, and one on the administration side – Lifetime Achievement award, and our annual Fund Services industry Person of the Year.  
 
The event will kick off with a late afternoon series of panel sessions designed to give attendees an update into the key issues facing the hedge fund administration and prime brokerage industry today.
