Goldman Sachs has appointed Jeff Nedelman as global head of prime services, according to an internal memo seen by Global Custodian.

Nedelman, who was Goldman Sachs’ head of US equities sales, takes over the role encompassing prime brokerage, clearing and futures businesses with previous incumbent John William now co-heading global FICC sales.

Jack Sebastian and Tony Pasquariello will be taking over Nedelman’s previous role as co-US equities heads.

The moves are part of a reshuffle at Goldman Sachs with former co-head of Global FICC sales Tom Cornacchia retiring from the firm after 14 years.

According to the memo, Nedelman will take responsibility for providing clear custody and reporting services to hedge funds and international clients.

Nedelamn initially joined Goldman Sachs in 1993 as an associate in private client services in Los Angeles before becoming MD in 2001 and partner in 2004.
