BNY appoints Kablawi to lead investment services

Former Asset servicing head moves to helm of investment services.

BNY Mellon has appointed Hani Kablawi to head its investment services business in EMEA.

Kablawi was formerly head of asset servicing for EMEA and in his new role will take responsibility for leading the investment services business strategy at BNY Mellon. He will be involved in areas spanning asset servicing, alternative investment services, corporate trust, treasury and more.

Kablawi will report to Brian Shea, CEO of investment services, and Michael Cole-Fontayn, chairman of EMEA.

Since joining BNY Mellon in 1997, Kablawi has held roles in a number of different departments across New York, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and London. He is also a board member of the Arab Banker Association.

Daron Pearce will replace him as CEO of asset servicing for EMEA. He has been at BNY Mellon for 16 years, most recently as CEO of global financial institutions for asset servicing.
