Global Custodian has announced the nominees ahead of its annual Industry Leaders awards event in New York on October 20, including a new set Editor’s Choice honours.
Brown Brothers Harriman’s Susan Livingston will receive the lifetime achievement award and Sudha Datta, retired head of operations at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority will be presented with the industry legend accolade.
The awards this year will cover outstanding achievement in mutual fund administration, hedge fund administration and prime brokerage for North American clients.
New this year are the Global Custodian Editor’s Choice awards which will reward efforts in diversity, talent and ESG (economic, social governance).
The new series of awards recognise participants who have stood out in topics which have come increasingly under the spotlight in Global Custodian’s 2016 features.
Ultimus Fund Services are nominated in four categories in the mutual fund administration, while Apex and Maples Fund Services receive multiple nominations in the hedge fund admin category.
GC’s first private equity administration award will also be fought out by Apex, Maples and Quantillion.
Prior to the awards, GC will be running a debates session with ‘for’ and ‘against’ arguments on some of the biggest and most pressing issues facing the industry right now.
